I don't want to blow smoke here but I think this is arguably the most important component in web app history. BEHOLD - THE CONTENT CONTAINER.

Okay... maybe not the most important ever but certainly extremely important for our own application. Friendscape's overall theme has a retro-windows-98-type style that surfaces on specific UI elements.
The first one we designed was our content container, which influenced a lot of our other components in the app and that's what I'm writing about here. We gave the container hard edges and a shadow on the right side & bottom to give it an old-school look.
